BD Manager - Energy - 12 month FTC
Job Description
A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support its Energy sector on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role can be based in either London, Edinburgh or Bristol, with a hybrid working model.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in driving forward client-focused business development initiatives. You’ll collaborate with partners and legal teams to ensure strategic objectives are delivered consistently, while contributing to a dynamic and collaborative marketing function.
Responsibilities
• Identify and develop growth opportunities, raising the profile of the firm’s expertise among existing and prospective clients
• Develop and implement plans for strategic clients, targets, and referral networks
• Produce high-quality marketing and sales materials, including proposals, pitches, and digital content
• Work closely with specialist marketing teams (campaigns, events, digital, design) to deliver integrated initiatives
• Monitor market trends and articulate compelling value propositions within the Energy sector
• Evaluate the effectiveness of business development activity and continuously refine approach
Job Requirements
• Proven experience in business development or marketing within a professional services environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior colleagues
• Commercially minded, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, collaborative, and confident in delivering strategic and tactical initiatives
