An international professional services firm is seeking a talented PR Specialist to join its fast-paced EMEA communications team. This role will support strategic media engagement initiatives and help raise the profile of the firm across the London market.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to promote thought leadership, transactional activity, partner hires, campaigns and events across UK national, broadcast, regional and trade media.

This is a varied and high-profile role covering financial services, M&A, private equity, private credit and capital markets. It requires someone with strong media relations experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a day-to-day contact for media enquiries, with a focus on transactional and financial services practices.

• Develop and execute media engagement strategies across national, broadcast, trade and regional media.

• Identify profile opportunities including comment pieces, byline articles, interviews and case studies.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and key media contacts.

• Organise media briefings and support senior stakeholders with interview preparation and media training.

• Generate story ideas and secure positive media coverage.

• Draft press releases, articles and other communications materials.

• Maintain media databases and monitor editorial calendars.

• Collaborate with marketing teams and external PR agencies to coordinate campaigns and communications activity.

• Support reporting, media tracking and other PR administration processes.

Job Requirements

• Degree educated, ideally in communications, English or a related field.

• 3–5 years’ experience in PR, communications or media relations.

• Experience within financial services, asset management, private equity, private credit or professional services.

• Strong UK media contacts, particularly within financial and business media.

• Understanding of the UK legal media landscape is advantageous.
