We’re looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to lead sector-focused initiatives within the Industrials & Chemicals space — with a strong emphasis on the defence, aerospace, and security sub-sectors. This is a unique opportunity to shape and execute a forward-looking, commercially focused sector strategy that directly contributes to the firm's strategic growth.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the global Business Development & Marketing (BDM) team, you will:
• Define and implement a clear sector strategy aligned with firm-wide priorities, driving profitable revenue growth.
• Use data insights, market intelligence, and client feedback to shape strategy and identify new opportunities.
• Lead cross-selling efforts and develop go-to-market campaigns for high-potential clients in the Industrials & Chemicals sector.
• Support relationship partners and client teams to maximise account development and uncover "white space" opportunities.
• Oversee and support client targeting initiatives, strategic pitches, and CRM preparation.
• Facilitate collaboration and best-practice sharing across sectors and geographies.
Job Requirements
• Significant experience in a business development role within a global professional services or legal environment.
• Deep understanding of the Industrials & Chemicals landscape, with particular knowledge of the aerospace, defence, and security industries.
• A proven track record in delivering sector-specific business development strategies that drive revenue growth.
• Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders, relationship managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and a passion for working in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation.
