Job Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development & Marketing professional to join a highly regarded law firm with a strong reputation for advising clients across creative, technology and entrepreneurial sectors.
This is an exciting role for someone looking to take ownership of a broad range of business development and marketing initiatives while working closely with partners and senior stakeholders across multiple practice areas.
Reporting to the Senior Business Development & Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the firm's business development strategy across several practice groups, including Corporate, Intellectual Property and Family, with a particular focus on the Technology and Publishing sectors. Working alongside lawyers and business services professionals, you will help drive strategic growth initiatives, client development programmes and marketing campaigns, contributing to the continued success of a collaborative and ambitious BD & Marketing function.
Responsibilities
• Act as the primary BD & Marketing contact for designated practice groups and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate and support business development meetings, tracking actions and ensuring projects progress effectively.
• Lead the delivery of in-person and virtual seminars, conferences and client events.
• Maximise the value of sponsorships, partnerships and profile-raising opportunities.
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify business development opportunities.
• Produce high-quality marketing collateral, client communications, website content, social media posts, articles and thought leadership.
• Coordinate legal directory and award submissions.
• Support the preparation of compelling pitches, proposals and presentations.
• Maintain CRM and marketing systems, ensuring accurate reporting and data management.
• Embrace AI and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and enhance marketing output.
Job Requirements
You will have:
• At least three years' experience in a Business Development or Marketing role, ideally within legal or professional services.
• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
• Confidence building relationships with senior stakeholders and influencing at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a genuine commercial outlook.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Experience with CRM and email marketing platforms, along with Canva, would be advantageous.
