BD Manager - Litigation, Arbitration, Insurance & Employment

Are you a strategic and commercially minded Business Development professional ready to make a real impact in a dynamic, global law firm environment?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking legal team where innovation, collaboration, and client-focus are at the heart of everything they do. You’ll be supporting the Litigation, Arbitration, Insurance, and Employment (LAIE) practice group with high-profile business development and marketing initiatives that align with firmwide strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support the planning and delivery of BD and marketing initiatives for the LAIE practice.
• Work closely with Partners to identify and pursue new business opportunities and strengthen existing client relationships.
• Produce compelling pitch materials, credentials, and client-focused presentations.
• Deliver strategic marketing campaigns and coordinate a range of events including webinars, seminars, and social gatherings.
• Monitor legal and industry developments to provide informed advice and support.
• Draft and manage legal directory and award submissions to enhance practice visibility and rankings.
• Collaborate with international BD teams and contribute to budget planning and spend tracking.
• Maintain BD systems including CRM tools and content databases.
What We’re Looking For:
• Significant experience in business development or marketing within a legal or professional services environment.
• Proven track record in preparing pitches, delivering campaigns, and managing legal directory submissions (e.g. Chambers, Legal 500).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong commercial awareness.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with BD systems and a flair for using data to drive decisions.
• Experience supporting litigation, arbitration, or insurance-related practice groups is advantageous.
