Marketing & BD Assistant - US Law firm
Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and proactive Marketing & Business Development Assistant to join the London office of a prestigious international law firm. This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone looking to build a career in legal marketing and BD.
You’ll join a supportive, close-knit team working alongside senior professionals and partners to help drive the firm’s strategic growth. The role is generalist in nature, with the opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of business development and marketing activities – including thought leadership initiatives on trending legal topics such as AI – and to grow into supporting specific practice areas over time.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of credentials, pitches, and RFPs – often under tight deadlines
Support CRM and marketing mailing activities
Help coordinate client alerts and post blogs and other thought leadership content
Ensure awards, rankings, and other firm achievements are accurately recorded and promoted
Support the deal recording process to ensure timely and accurate updates
Assist in delivering high-quality internal and client-facing events
Maintain a database of pitch materials and marketing collateral
Conduct client and market research using online research tools
Maintain and update intranet content and internal news items
Job Requirements
Degree-qualified (or equivalent), with previous experience in a BD or marketing role within a professional services environment (legal preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Highly organised, self-motivated, and a strong team player
Positive attitude and flexible approach
