BD Manager - Energy, Utilities, Infrastructure
Job Description
A global law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead its Energy, Utilities & Infrastructure (EU&I) sector strategy. This role focuses on driving profitable revenue growth, strengthening client relationships and supporting cross-selling across the business.
Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver a focused EU&I sector strategy aligned with firm-wide priorities.
• Create and support client action plans, working closely with partners and client managers to spot opportunities.
• Strengthen CRM capabilities and ensure effective use of BD technologies.
• Lead sector-specific BD initiatives and collaborate on go-to-market campaigns.
• Provide data-led market insights and monitor sector trends to support strategic decisions.
• Contribute to pitches, panel submissions and pursuit strategies.
• Build strong relationships with partners, sector leaders and BD colleagues to coordinate targeting and cross-selling.
Job Requirements
• Significant BD experience within a global legal/professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector (traditional energy, renewables, utilities, infrastructure).
• Experience with private capital or institutional investors beneficial.
• Proven experience delivering sector-based BD strategies and CRM initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar role.
