Job Description
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a strategic and driven Client & Business Development Manager to join a market-leading Private Equity practice, with a specific focus on Clean Energy.
This position sits within a high-performing, international business development team and plays a pivotal role in supporting the expansion of the clean energy transactional practice across the UK, Europe, and globally.
The role is ideal for a professional services marketer or business developer who thrives on collaboration, proactive client engagement, and driving business growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll be working closely with top-ranked lawyers and partners, helping to shape and deliver the commercial strategy for one of the most high-profile, future-focused areas in Private Equity.

Key Responsibilities
• Drive execution of the Clean Energy Group’s business development strategy and annual plan
• Track market developments and leverage insights into targeted marketing and campaign activities
• Lead production of high-impact client materials, including capability statements, pitch documents, brochures, and briefing notes
• Coordinate the delivery of events and conferences in collaboration with internal and external teams
• Prepare award and directory submissions to enhance and maintain the team’s market-leading profile
• Support PR and communications efforts to increase external visibility of the group’s achievements
• Provide data-driven insights and reporting to support financial, BD, and client relationship reviews
• Align efforts with the global clean energy strategy, liaising with international teams as needed
• Monitor competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats in the market
• Maintain and update key marketing collateral and internal systems (e.g., deal lists, bios, CRM platforms)
• Facilitate internal communication and collaboration between partners, associates, and BD teams
Experience:
• Proven business development or marketing experience within the professional services sector, ideally within a transactional legal or financial environment
• Familiarity with the European clean energy sector is highly desirable
• Strong track record in supporting or leading pitches/RFPs and account management activities
Skills & Attributes:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent organisational skills and confidence to manage senior stakeholder relationships
• Commercially aware, with strong knowledge of market trends and client expectations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; adept at using knowledge platforms and CRM systems
